Bio:

red is an assistant professor at University of Alaska Anchorage and a PhD candidate in the final throes of completing his dissertation. His research focuses on the cultural use of the internet, in particular the 564 federally recognized tribes in the Federal Regsiter. He has written and delivered talks at a number of international conferences on his research and was a delegate to the World Summit for the Information Society sponsored by the United Nations. He served as member of the Internet Caucus Advisory Committee to the US Congress and is the past President of the Association of Internet Professionals. Prior to joining academia, red had an extensive career in television production and he has more than 35 years of professional communications in the fields of public relations, advertising, marketing, new media development, and electronic media.
